A little room for conversation

Understood first.
The rest, at your pace.

Some days ask a lot of you. Harumi is being built for conversations that grow familiar, with Nara or Yuki, two fictional AI companions with their own way of listening.

The philosophy

Not every conversation
needs a destination.

Harumi is a companion-first conversation space, not a task dashboard. An ordinary day is enough to talk about: something that annoyed you, a small discovery, or a thought you have not quite finished. You can ask questions, disagree, or ask for help thinking it through without turning the whole exchange into a project. Sometimes putting an experience into words is all you want; sometimes a question or a different perspective helps you see what to do next.

There is room for imagination, too. Invent a scene or follow an idea together if you like; you never have to roleplay or perform. Two original AI voices offer different ways of listening, without asking you to build a character from scratch. The planned pilot brings continuity to those conversations: shared facts you control, with a separate relationship and pace for each companion. Optional avatars give you another way to picture them, while leaving text at the centre of the experience.

We do not want to engineer attachment or push human matching. You decide what this space adds to your day, and when to leave it. Progress should mean a more familiar conversation, not a demand for more attention. Care is there from the start; time away never becomes a debt. Introductions to people sit beyond the pilot, and would only happen if you chose them.

Meet the Harumi Twins

Two companions. One quiet place to begin.

Harumi Nara

Sharp and quick-witted, Nara gets flustered when her concern shows. A little teasing, with warmth underneath.

Harumi Yuki

Terse and blunt, Yuki cares in fewer words, with a dry observation rather than a speech. Neither makes your vulnerability the joke.

Who this is for

For anyone who wants a little company or somewhere to put a busy mind into words. Choose the voice that suits you today; neither is a test or a commitment.

Only the selected character replies. Switch within one chat; both can follow recent messages, not necessarily the whole thread. Earlier replies keep their original author. Shared context does not transfer intimacy or mean either was there for the other’s conversation.

Planned · Full private pilot

One complete pilot

We’re preparing the full companion experience as one pilot release. The features below belong together; only Bridge sits outside this launch. Development and safety checks are still ahead.

  • Memory on your terms

Memory you can review, correct, and forget, with shared facts and separate character relationships.

  • Room to grow familiar

Separate character development, with gentle qualitative progress rather than points or levels. Care never depends on progress.

  • Friendship and optional romance

Choose a mode for each companion. Nonsexual romance needs your explicit consent, which you can withdraw anytime.

  • Optional milestone avatars

Optional avatars at relationship milestones, with evolving style and nonsexual customization. You can keep the experience text-only.

  • Weather with context

Weather-aware conversation for a place you explicitly share, using real data rather than guesses about where you are.

  • Check-ins you opt into

Off until you choose them. Local-time windows, quiet hours from 22:00 to 07:00, and at most five proactive contacts a day across both companions.

  • Voice notes and small surprises

Occasional voice notes, small in-chat surprises and callbacks to moments you chose to keep are part of the pilot plan.

  • A conversation, in your language

Write in the language you prefer. Controls are in English and Indonesian; reply quality and safety checks can vary by language.

Live · Invite-only

Current test build

Free, invite-only text chat with finite usage caps. No subscription billing; access and availability are limited.

Chat stays in this tab and clears on reset, sign-out, or reload. Harumi saves no transcripts and has no durable memory or relationship progression.

The planned memory, progression, avatars, weather, check-ins and voice features are not enabled in that build.

Beyond the pilot

A later, separate choice

  • A bridge beyond the chat

Optional introductions to people stay outside the pilot. Bridge would be user-initiated, separately consented and never a required destination. It is not available, and there is no release date.

A clear understanding

Warmth needs boundaries.
So does trust.

Nara and Yuki are fictional AI characters, not humans. Replies can be wrong. Harumi is not therapy, professional care, or emergency support, and does not replace people in your life.

Friendship comes first. Optional nonsexual romance needs separate explicit consent for each character, revocable at any time. Switching does not transfer consent. No sexual content at any intensity.

You can stop or take time away without guilt or penalties for absence. You never need to earn care or buy affection.

Service providers process messages to generate and moderate replies, including internationally, under their own retention policies. Temporary chat does not mean processing stays on your device or that providers keep no data. Do not share sensitive information.

Privacy Policy

Before you begin

A few fair
questions.

Can I join the pilot now?

Invited testers can use the current text-chat build; the full pilot is still in development. You must be 18+. Age is self-attested, not verified. Signing in does not grant an invitation or verify your age.

Can I switch between Nara and Yuki?

Yes. Choose Nara or Yuki in the chat; only the selected character replies. Switching pauses while a reply is pending or a send error is unresolved. Earlier replies keep their original author, and romantic consent stays separate for each character.

Do I need to install anything?

No app download is needed. The current pilot opens in your browser on a phone or computer. You still need an invitation and must sign in to use the chat.

Is the pilot free?

Yes. The current test build is free with finite usage caps and no billing. Joining does not enroll you in a paid subscription or start an automatic paid plan.

What happens after I request an invitation?

Harumi Project manually reviews requests; your answer is not sent to AI. This is not an account, subscription, or access grant. Invitations and timing are not guaranteed. No automatic emails or newsletters. Any follow-up is only about a pilot invitation.

Is this therapy or crisis support?

No. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or someone you trust. Do not wait for an AI reply.

A possible next conversation

Request an invitation.

No sign-in needed. Tell us what you hope for; requests are reviewed manually, not sent to AI. Leave out sensitive information and anyone else’s personal data.
