Terms & Conditions

Harumi is operated by Harumi Project — an independent project by Medi. These terms explain the landing site, invitation requests, and current free, invite-only pilot—not a promise of a finished service.

1. Age and invitations

The pilot is for people aged 18+. Age is self-attested, not verified by Google sign-in or the invitation form. Do not use the pilot or submit a request if you are under 18. Use your own email and provide accurate information.

An invitation request is not account registration, a subscription, or an access grant. No Google login is needed for a request. Your affirmative button selection asks us to store the request and contact you only about a pilot invitation, as explained in the Privacy Policy. No invitation, reply, or timeline is guaranteed; there are no automatic emails or newsletters.

2. What Harumi is—and is not

Harumi offers fictional AI characters, not a human. Replies are generated and can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate. Harumi is not therapy, a crisis service, or professional medical, legal, or financial advice. Use your own judgment and do not rely on it for important or urgent decisions.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted person who can help. Do not wait for an AI reply. The pilot does not promise clinical benefit or replace human relationships or professional care.

3. Your pace and boundaries

Friendship is the default. Nonsexual romance is optional, requires a separate explicit opt-in for each character, and is reversible at any time. Choosing or switching characters does not grant consent. Switching romance off must not reduce support quality. There are no penalties for absence, no obligation to keep chatting, and no purchases of affection.

No long-term memory or human matching is live. Current chat clears on reset, sign-out, or reload. Future memory, personality adaptation, check-ins, or human introductions are exploratory, opt-in directions, not promised capabilities or release dates.

4. Free, limited access

The current pilot is free with finite usage caps and no billing. Entering it does not enroll you in a paid subscription. Any future paid offering needs separate, clearly stated terms and your affirmative enrollment; no payment obligation is created here.

Availability, response quality, and uninterrupted access are not guaranteed. We may change limits, pause access for maintenance or security, or end the pilot. Where reasonably possible, we will explain significant changes in advance.

5. Safe use

Talking about difficult feelings is welcome, including non-graphic discussion of abuse or distress. No sexual content at any intensity, including erotic roleplay. Do not request instructions to harm yourself or others, or use Harumi for illegal activity, threats, harassment, or exploitation. Do not submit other people’s private data without permission. Do not impersonate others, scrape the service, automate abusive requests, bypass limits, probe other users’ data, or launch security attacks.

We may fairly restrict or suspend access to address abuse or security risks, and may terminate access or end the pilot. Action should be proportionate to the issue. Where safe and practical, we will explain the reason and allow you to raise a concern through the public contact email.

6. Your content and actual processing

You retain ownership of your content. You give only the limited permission needed to receive and process what you submit, generate and moderate replies, operate the pilot, and review your invitation request for its stated purpose. This is not a transfer of ownership or a grant of advertising or general model-training rights.

Google/Firebase and Cloudflare processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Providers have their own policies; these terms do not override them or promise no provider retention. Do not submit secrets or sensitive information. AI output may resemble other output; no exclusivity or accuracy is promised.

7. Responsibility and your rights

This is a limited experimental pilot. We ask you to consider its limitations and use it responsibly. Any responsibility or remedy must be assessed under applicable law and be proportionate to the circumstances. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes mandatory consumer rights, or creates an unconditional waiver of liability.

These terms do not select a governing jurisdiction, require arbitration, or prevent you from using rights or remedies available under applicable law. Please contact us about problems so we can try to address them.

8. Changes and leaving

You may stop using Harumi at any time and request deletion or withdraw invitation-contact consent through the public email. The Privacy Policy explains handling and retention of data already submitted.

We will identify the effective date of updated terms and notify affected participants of material changes. A materially new purpose for invitation data requires fresh consent. We will not silently turn an invitation request into marketing permission or paid enrollment.
